Junior Youth Retreat Feb. 2007

Last weekend we were the cooks at a Toronto Mennonite Junior Youth Retreat at Silver Lake Camp. Hannah came as a cook, and Levi was there as a participant. Here's Gord with BIG frying pans full of sausages, and pancakes on the grill. He's in good form for making breakfast for all of you in August!
Hannah was particularly fascinated with the walk-in fridge!
Slicing oranges for breakfast.
Here's a shot of a treehouse that was built last summer. This project was conceived of and built by Don Hildebrand from our church, and many, many volunteers from our church and beyond. The main room is about 20 feet off the ground, and there's room for a whole cabin full of campers (12-15). Really cool! Hannah made one of her famous chocolate cakes for dessert. She decided not to use the huge Hobart mixer in the background.
