South Asian Festival

This weekend the local South Asian community (Little India, where we live) held their fourth annual festival. They closed off Gerrard Street (a 2-minute walk from our house), and there were dances, fashion shows, and music at the stage right at the end of our street. All the restaurants offered lots of delicious food! We had some yummy butter chicken, rice and naan for our supper.

Here is the stage, looking down Hiawatha towards our house. We can hear the music from our back yard. We look forward to this event every year, and our kids were sorry they are all away this weekend and missed it. What a great city we live in!
