Erika's Excellent Summer Adventures

Today we moved Erika into her residence room at University of Guelph. The furniture is all new this year, and she has a lot of space compared to other rooms. Her roommate, Bethany (see photo below), is already a kindred spirit, I think, even though they just met. The girls share a love of tea, running, and are both vegetarians and students of International Development. Her residence is called Eco House, for people who share a concern for the environment. They have a composter in the courtyard...not sure what else sets them apart, but I'm sure we'll hear.

Erika's 18th birthday party! She invited all her friends who were in town (Sophia is already at McGill University in Montreal). We had barbecued shishkebabs and then they went to Malaya's to hang out.

Here is Erika (2nd from left) and her counselor friends from Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, on the last day of camp. She spent the month of August there -- her heaven on earth.
