After all the bags were made, it was time to fill them up! Everyone had been encouraged to purchase the school supplies required by MCC. Each school bag was filled with 4 notebooks, 4 pencils, a ruler, an eraser, and pencil crayons. We did this on the Sunday following our manufacturing day. With another assembly line, it went pretty quickly.
The little ones in the congregation enjoyed helping by filling the bags. You can see the colourful erasers in the background.
And our final, filled bags! Altogether we made and filled 90 bags and they were delivered the following weekend to the MCC annual conference. MCC had set a goal of 1000 bags by conference weekend, and they actually surpassed that by around 200. It's nice to think that our tiny church provided 90 of those!
