Ski Trip

We had a weekend of beautiful weather for our annual ski trip to the Algonquin Eco-Lodge. Snow conditions weren't as good as last year, but it was a great weekend with bright sunny days, relatively mild weather, and good friends.
Mostly we skiied, but we also left our skis behind to hike up to a lookout point to have lunch.
Sharing lunch around a fire. We have already reserved the lodge for the same weekend next year...what a great tradition.
In the days before we came, there was a lot of rain, causing the river to flood. This was followed by cold temperatures, so the water froze at that level. Then when it receded, it left these cool ice sheets embedded in the trees. I'd never seen anything like it!
